i know this has probley been asked before.
At night i still fully swaddle Leyla and lie her on her back, she wakes 2 times for a feed and can sometimes take a while settle after. during the day when she naps she wont sleep on her back so we started letting her nap on her front as im able to keep an eye on her. she now naps better and wakes refreshed,
last night she was really unsettled so i put her in bed with me, DH was working. (i took the duvet off the bed and used her blankets and i used a blanket.) i let her sleep on her front, as soon as i lay her down she was fast asleep and slept alot better only waking for 1 feed.
The thing is if shes in her cot i feel a little worried letting her sleep onher front even though she sleeps alot better,

what would you do? how does your little one sleep?

I have heard quite a few people doing this.

Anna slept on her side from the first week - she rolled onto her side herself so I wasnt worried. From about 6 months she has slept on her tummy - again she does it herself so I just leave her to it.

I cant recommend anything but I have heard other folk putting their LO on their tummy at a young age. Hope you get some good advice soon:flower:

Lola sleeps in all sorts of positions but she is always more settled on her tummy :D

Hannah sleeps with bum in the air every night - and if i move her she moves straight back into the same position!!

ever since she has been able to roll over, on her stomach with her arms tucked underneath her and her bum in the air lol, my eldest on the other hand has never slept on her stomach she prefers to sleep on her back with her arms above her head x

Evie always slept better on her tummy. Once she became more mobile and was able to roll over, she always ended up on her belly when asleep. Now she's crawling, she ends up in all sorts of wierd positions!!

Since she has been able to roll she sleeps on her tummy with her knees tucked under her and her bum up in the air.

I have exactly the same thing. Caleb is 6 weeks old and will fidget and make loads of noise if he is on his back. He will wake up lots and seem generally uncomfortable with tummy pains and wind. If he is on his front he is much quieter and happier and will sleep better. So far I have only put him on his front in the day, like you, when I can watch him. However as it sometimes takes 2 hours to settle him at night and then an hour later he wakes for another feed I have started to consider putting him on his tummy at night. I have just ordered an angel care sound and movement monitor as this will give me peace of mind. Although he is very young he is strong and we watch him move his head from side to side when he's on his tummy.

I used to swaddle Omar when he was tiny, but he always managed to sleep on his side. when he started rolling over at 5 mnths, he started to sleep on his tummy, side, back, across his cot, etc. He sleeps in very weird positions, sometimes his body in one side, his head in the other & his legs crossed.

My LO will only sleep on her tummy and I am totally fine with doing it now. She refuses to go on her back

im going to let her sleep on her tum but move the cot nearer to me at night so i can check her often. my mum said when we was little they was told put us on our front.

Alice sleeps on her back in her moses basket, on her tummy in her cot, and on her side when she's in bed with me.

My LO would scream when we put her on her back, so tried putting her on her belly (as, like you've said, my parents did this with both me and my sister) but she kept trying to move her head but doesnt have full control of it yet so I was worried she would just shove her head face down in the cot, but now she's on her side all the time. We found it was a good middle ground :) She now sleeps like a beast!
