what was you first scared of???

Hi ladies, i thought i would post this so we could all share what our first worries where with our first babies or what we was scared of, and first timers can also share what they are scared of xx

With my first i was scared of the labour and i was woried about bathing a newborn baby, thankfully a freind of mine had her baby a few weeks before me and showed me how to do it and even let me help xx

Im terrified of the labour and something going wrong, and that she will be affected by this condition that her Daddy has... Also Im scared of bathing her too... unlucky for me no one has got a new baby for me to borrow lol!

Although i have bathed my brother and sister now (4 & 5) I was 18 & 19 when they where born...but it seem so much more scarier bathing my own baby x x

ohh where to start lol!!! every stage of my pregnacy has brought different fears, e.g. getting to the 12 week mark, the 1st scan being ok, feeling enough movements etc.. now the labour is defo a big thing on my mind.... suppose when baby is born i'll have the bathing, sleep positions, feeding etc! im not half paranoid am i lol!!

My daughter HATED being naked which made bathing even worse. I wasn't so scared of the labour but this time I am and I am scared of the pain when the milk comes in.

I am scared of everything happening too quick and I will have to do it on my own, If baby comes early, OH will most likely miss it as he works about 4 hours away.

Sorry, I know this thread was for first time mums but I feel more scared this time round

I think I'm just scared of the unknown in general. I'm completely new to all this and the whole concept of parenthood always seemed so out of my grasp, now it's upon me and I'm petrified haha.

Also, the birth. I hope everything goes well. x

i was scared of losing him but i'm not so worried about it now as i know it's very unlikely anything bad will happen x

Bathing a baby doesn't scare me for some reason :-S

I'm more worried about entertaining her all day - I can never get babys to smile and they usually cry after a few mins, I'm sure I freak them out lol

its for any mums hunni, you dont have to be a first time mum, just thought that it could some first time mums xx

Think mine is labour no matter how many people tell u stories i know everyone is different and my pain threshold aint all that good...
Another for me is the belly button clip im scared of catching it... Wierd i know

I'm scared of being alone with her. OH only has 2 weeks off for paternity leave. I'm scared she'll cry and I won't know what to do.

I've grown up around babies. and still I'd be so lost and confused.

I'm also scared of hurting her. Not holding her head properly, or picking her up wrong.
