What were your OHs SA results?

My dh has had two SAs done withthe following results:

1st: 16million/ml, 56% motility, 2% normal forms- June2011

2nd: 39m/ml, 50% motility, 80% normal forms- July 2011

The fertility specialist says the second one is completely normal so if his #s went up, why does she suggest IUI? They put him on antibiotics after the first one and it made a huge difference. I'm just curious and want to compare his results with other results in the normal range bc it seems like the results are still below par.

We were told ours was normal also...I am trying to remember off the top of my head as fs confiscated it lol!
Count:86 million
Motility:54%
morph:75% normal forms

The only thing I think about yours is a little low count (we were told 40 million was normal) and motility must be at least 50% so that seems borderline. Definately better than the first time. I don't know if you guys got instructions with yours, but we didn't, so oh used some...ahem*...hand cream...so I don't think it was 100% accurate. Fs says doesn't matter bc it was normal anyway.
I think iui is good for motility bc they don't have to find their own way?!?

For our IUI this month,
prewash 33 million, 44% motility
postwash 32 million 94% motility

The nurse was nearly giddy with the post wash numbers. It was the motility that really got her excited, so I'm wondering if that is a big factor.
