We are about 7 weeks away from having our 3rd little girl and due to move house on Friday. We are moving from a 3 bed to a much bigger house- 4 bedrooms on 2nd floor and two attic bedrooms. My two eldest girls do bicker but mostly get on well and loved sharing a bedroom this summer on holiday, they are now again sharing as we are using dd2's room for storage of boxes. My eldest has begged to share a room with her sister when we move- she says they can keep each other company in the new house.
I'm happy for them to share and have one room as a playroom for now. I don't want them using the attic rooms at all until they are older. So we would now have 2 sharing one room and baby in one room with a playroom. Baby will obviously be with us for 6m at least so that's fine but it feels silly moving to a 6 bed house and two sharing! The plan is to separate them once they are over the move and baby sisters arrival but what if they don't want to? Don't want little sister to be left out but feel that my girls have a rough time ahead with so much change and want to comfort them. Would you just give them a room each straight away or let them share??
