What would you do?

This is a kind of a what if question, trying to figure out what to do if things go how I think they will lol. Anyways I have a sweep booked for tomorrow morning. I am 39 +2 with baby #3. Anyways the weather has been terrible for the last few days and of course tonight there's a wind chill warning in effect for tonight with temperatures as low as -50 degrees Celsius! We are sitting at almost -40 right now brrr. Anyways there's a very good chance school buses won't be running tomorrow and there won't be any school. Can't say I would send my son if there was school anyways. But the weather is very unpredictable here so anything can happen tonight. I can't decide if I should cancel my appointment tomorrow or not! I want to go but if it's that's cold I don't want to take 2 kids in with me ( a little awkward for the 6 year old) and also there's a chance of my truck not starting again if my doctors appointment runs long. But on the other hand if I cancel I might not get in until next week. I don't want to wait another week at this stage of the game. I dunno what to do lol. So what would you do?

Ugh that's tough! Where do you live that it's soooooo cold?!! I think I would maybe just go and if I had to bring my kids I would and then see if a nurse or someone would mind keeping an eye on them during the actual sweep... I hope it works out for you!

Lol I live in Alberta Canada but until a few days ago the weather was wonderful! Now it's making up for being so nice. I am kinda hoping baby wants to come tonight then I don't need to worry about it

I live in a very cold place too so I completly understand your prob. I would wait till the morning to check conditions, what is the news saying the morn will be like? if there is no school i wouldnt take the kids anywhere. is there someone who could come watch them while you ran to the sweep? if not i would call and try to reschedule for asap.

omg I live in WI, USA and until last thursday we were having a beautiful winter 50 F degrees AND sunny. However the last few days have been freezing and snowy. UGH!

It's a tough situation because getting someone to come to the house is a no go because I live 20 minutes out of town on an acreage and I can drop them off with someone while I run to the doc but then I am worried that the sweep might kick start something right away lol I have very fast labors and would like to leave and go right home just in case lol

It sucks when mother nature throws you for a loop like that! We normally have cold snowy winters and up until a few days ago we had less than a foot of snow and temps around -1 and then all of a sudden it went to -30 right around the time baby is due lol

yeah in Iowa last wee we had two 55-60 degree days and then last Thursday it was a blizzard lol...weird weird weather.. But that is understandable you don't want to drive in the frigid weather with your kids! You'll have to let us know what you decide!

I think in weather like that...especially if there's a good chance of the kids staying home I would reshedule. I know it can seem disheartening but who is to say the sweep would even work?! Although saying that I know its done different to here so perhaps you already know if you're favourable or not.
A week would pass fairly quickly...I knkw I'm moaning about time dragging but already its Wednesday here..halfway through the week and it will soon fly by again.
Could mw not come out to you when she has finished with other patients?

Sorry...rambling now..I do when I've had little sleep lol
