OK so i just been a weighed myself i like to keep a check on it and i have put on about a stone in the 21 weeks of being pregnant.

is this a good weight gain or to much?

what is calculated in ur weight gain in pregnancy?

eg, baby, waters, placenta etc..

thanks xx

I am trying to not let myself worry about it too much. I also try to stay the heck away from the scale. If I don't, I'll end up punishing myself with food and/or exercise due to my disordered thinking about weight.

I lost 171 pounds before getting pregnant, so I know I'll have no problem losing whatever I gain.

I'm 21 weeks and have put on a stone too. I'm trying to be good, but I get hungry pretty much every hour so I snack pretty much all the time. As above, I lost my pregnancy weight last time, so not too worried about it. I'm 5'6" and most of the weight has crept onto my thighs and buttocks! :)

I'm not to worried about how much i put on but want it to be a healthy weight gain not loads. i lost alot of weight to get down to where i was when i fell pregnant and i have already set in my head once baby is born i will be back on my healthy eating, cal counting and walking everywhere. all my weight gain is on my bump. i still fit in my trousers and i'm in size 14 maternity tops so feel good about tht xxx

You could enter your info here, which gives you a guideline of pregnancy weight each week based on a number of variables.

Going by guidelines, it depends on your size before you got pregnant. Some women are suggested to put on more or less weight by this time depending on if they were over-, under-, or at an appropriate weight.

I'd talk to your midwife! But, honestly a stone doesn't sound that bad. Only 14lbs, right? I put on way more than that for DS by that time  lol

I've put on about 8lb so far and I'm 24 weeks.

It does depend on how big/small you are to start with. For smaller women they advise you to gain more, bigger women they advise you to gain less, as a general rule of thumb.

Its distributed between blood, boobs, waters, baby, placenta... That's off the top of my head but it comes from a chart I saw once.

During my last pregnancy I gained around 2 and a half stone and I'm trying to keep this pregnancy's gain under that. So far I seem to be doing better, but I did radically change my diet between pregnancies to lose my baby weight and so far the lifestyle I now lead has been helping me to be all 'belly'.

I've put on about 10lbs and I'm 21 weeks on monday. I'm worried I'm gonna get huge! I understand ill put on weight but I don't want to have a huge amount to lose after baby is born x

I wouldn't worry too much about weight gain. I think 14lbs by 21 weeks is good.

I've gained 10lbs so far but I am being super careful what I eat and have also changed my eating habits since last pregnancy and run almost daily so I think that is helping lots.

Last pregnancy I was so sick all the time and the only thing that helped was food and I gained WAY too much so trying not to make that mistake again!

Im 17 weeks an put on 3 pounds... I want to gain only about 25/30 this pregnancy:-)
