Whats the best way.....

what is the best way to toilet train a puppy, I bought a 11week old springer spaniel yesterday and she obviously needs toilet training has anyone got any tips on toilet training a puppy??
Ive bough puppy pads but she only uses them on the off chance

Took us a while with our doggy cos we were out at work.

What we did tho was put newspaper right next to the back door, and we used to praise him and give him a treat when he did it on the paper. He soon leared, then once he had mastered that we moved the paper outside the door. They are quick learners tbh .. at least mine was!

Someone else can probs give some better advice! good luck

we used to do the same with the above post but even when pups had an accident we would still carry him to the paper, i suppose it like getting child to sit on a potty just keep trying and dont give up if u do the paper/mats thing make sure u do it at the back door because if u put it say in the living room then u have to keep moving it close to the door if that makes sence

yeah we have it by the back door but I havent been putting her on it even after shes had an accident somewhere else i will from now on though! thanks for the advice really appreciated
