How did this happen? I gave my LO the middle name Mae after my Grandmother that I was very close to, who died 2 years ago. I had no idea it was so trendy at the time! Now I keep seeing that every other little girl out there has the same middle name. Even more if you count different spellings.

So whats everyone elses excuse? :winkwink:

My daughter is 8 and has Mae as her middle name we chose it for 2 reasons firstly all the girls in my family apart from me have Months as their middle name and secondly she was born in May. If this one is a girl we will be using June as her middle name :)

Technically our LO's is a double barrelled name :haha: But you're right it does seem quite popular. And we were really trying to steer clear of common names!!

    Her initials are actually AMPM.

My LO is a double barrelled name too - Sophie-mae. Hubby's late mum was called May and we wanted her named after her, but wanted the spelling more modern, and wanted people to use it too, hence double-barrelling it x

Same reason - May is my OH's grandmother's name. She was overjoyed that we chose it for the middle name. xx

I think Mae is quite popular at the mo and I think Mae flows nicely with a lot of girls names.

I have a very popular name (first and middle) Gemma Louise. When I was at school there was around 8 other Gemma Louise in my year alone.
