Hi ladies,

Just for fun our of curiousity whats your 8 month old doing or what did they do ?

Im totally amazed about how much Austin has started doing since he hit the 6 month mark really! He learned to crawl and sit up by himself on the same day haha, the sitting bit was by accident he just wobbled up when he was trying to crawl then mastered it after a few tries. That was at 7 months not today he has started pulling himself up, i found him standing in his cot hehe, amazing :)

Wow - I can't believe this is what my LO will be doing at Christmas time when hes 8 months old, in just over 3 months time. What a cutie!
xx

Awwww Lola is no where near standing up like that!

She isn't crawling either....she's lazy!

Sounds like you have a clever little boy, my Evie has no intention of crawling I don't think and as for standing up she'd rather plonk on her bottom x

My little one is nearly 8 months now and she's already sitting up, crawling, pulling herself up, crawling over things, clapping on command and saying 'dada'.

Not to mention has 4 teeth cut through!

It amazes me how much happens when they hit 6 months, and how quickly it happens!!

I have always thought Daisy is a bit slow with the physical milestones. She has always been really quick with the social and emotional ones but not so much the physical ones. She can sit up and is very close to crawling now. She gets frustrated that she can't quite do it but is almost there. She can stand up for a while, holding onto furniture, but can't move around like that and can't pull herself up to standing. She has started saying dada and if I hide an object under something like a stacking cup she can always find where I have hidden it really quickly. She reaches for objects she has dropped and can use a pincer grip to pick stuff up.

Aww clever Bubba's!! My LO waves when you say hello and bye and also makes a niose at the same time. It doesnt resemble any words but obviously hes copying us. Its so amazing what they pick up and how quickly!! :-D

Awww so cute!! Bens pulling himself up now and it's a nightmare at bedtime because he won't lie down!!

He's been crawling for about a month now and he's just discovered he can leg it from room to room, it's so tiring!! The jumperoo has had to be retired too.

He's not speaking yet but I get a lot of screeching and screaming! He climbs over anything too. He especially likes pulling himself up onto me when I'm lying down, then launching off the other side! Crazzzy baby.

pulls herself up in the cot
crawls
cruises with furniture
walks holding fingers
says mum...dad...nannan....baba....dog....
waves hello byebye
has 2 teeth
copies noises

Just before six months she mastered sitting then everything speeded up!! I was a bit worried she wasn't rolling but then she did, then commando crawling, babbling, crawling, pulling herself up and now we can't flippin stop her! She's either pushing her walker around or holding onto our fingers and breaking our backs making us walk her round for ages! She's got "muma", "dadda" "hello" ("lo") - she puts the phone to her ear going "lo? Lo? Lo?". Sooo cute lol. Pincer grip is great but she seemed to do that really early - although she used to pick up things pincering - then pass it to her other hand and it would then get squished in to that palm and she couldn't ear it lol.
She's mimicking a lot now. The other day she had the phone and we were saying "say hello grandma" and she did (not perfect but recogniseable) but she wouldn't do it again (very excited mummy said it another million times to try to get her to repeat it though lol).
She's just started clapping (bit hit and miss at the mo lol) and she waves hello, goodbye ... And totally randomly at inanimate objects too :)
I love when I go in to her room and she's standing in her cot grinning and looking so chuffed with herself but I'm not so keen on it at bedtime!! :)

very proud mummy. The best things she does though, are the (very sloppy - and snotty at the mo as she has a cold) big, grab my head, kisses and the snuggles when she puts her arms round the back of my neck and squeezes me. Melt.... And when she descends into uncontrollable giggles when rough and tumbling with her daddy.

Our babies are soooo amazing aren't they girls. :)

My 8 month old sat really early (4 months) and pulled himself around a bit on his tummy from that point on until he was about six months old and then managed to crawl backwards a lot. At 7 months he started crawling properly and within a week of that was pulling himself up on everything. His favourite game now is to walk around the house while pushing stuff like living room chairs, his walker, his sturdy plastic baby gym or mummy`s handbag.

I think he will definitely be walking before his 1st birthday!

Absolutely no real words coming out of his mouth yet though but he babbles a lot and makes mamamamama, bababababa, dadadadada noises and he has started doing two baby signs (more and drink although drink is not the real sign but it is his version of it I guess)- he may speak later though because he is a boy and because he will be bilingual although at the moment he hears English mainly.

My little guy is all about the physical. He has been pretty strong since birth (he could lift his head clear of the ground at tummy time from the beginning). Just last week he went nuts...pulling himself up on furniture, crawling, and getting himself into the sitting position without my help...oh, AND he got his 3rd tooth.

Needless to say, that meant NO nighttime sleep because he was so wired...but it seems to slowly be calming back down again.

I was warned that when they got around 7-8 months they would explode left and right hitting milestones. It's great!!

Arr wow, you should all be so proud, which im sure you are. Well done gorgeous babes!!!!

Dylan can sit up, roll, crawl, pull himself up to standing, walk around the furniture, use his walker (although he prefers a box!). When he can't reach something he goes and gets something to stand on and then climbs (not great as it means nothing is safe). He likes to explore!

Video of him walking around the furniture (it's not sped up, he really is that fast)

This is a pic of him after he got a box to stand on because he couldn't reach the remote control.
