When and how to tell older children and family?

I am 7+2 weeks and itching to tell the children that they are going to have a new baby brother/sister. My 3 children are from a previous relationship with the youngest being 8yrs old.
I'm just wondering how others would tell them if they were in my shoes, and also how would you tell their dad that there is going to be a new baby in the house with the kids
