and i mean proper crawl.
james can army crawl and be on all fours for only a few seconds while rocking.

did the crawling totally catch you off guard or did you know it was coming?

i know everything happens in its own time, but i am just curious :flower:

Jake started proper crawling on the day he turned 8 months.

Before that, he would just roll or get up on all fours and rock. It did happen suddenly but I kinda made him aim for his dummy lol!

Isabella didn't crawl til about 10.5 months and it happened pretty suddenly. Now she powers through the place :haha:

My lo started proper crawling at around 7 months! I knew it was coming bc she would get up on all fours and had been army crawling for a while. Now she's climbing stairs! (With OH and I right beside her that is!) :dohh: Time to put the baby gates up!

I just seen that our babies are the exact same age!! :flower:

:( aw now i feel behind because your baby is climbing stairs and mine is a couch potato :haha:

10 months, same time he finally decided to learn to sit  Army crawling from 6 months.

Maria started proper crawling at 7 months. I knew it was coming because she could move around a bit, get up on all fours, turn around and sit down and then do it again to move a little further along. But when I put my phone on the floor a couple metres away she just up and crawled towards it :)

Still no crawling and when I put her on her tummy she just does what she did when she was newborn, face plants the floor and cries until I go and get her :dohh:

Fran has been going backwards for a few weeks now - when she tries to get on all 4's she pushes herself back lol. She can get up onto her hands and knees now but just rocks! And she can go from sitting up down onto her tummy, but not the other way round yet lol.

Just after 9 months, but took me by surprise as I though he was never going to crawl as he showed no inclination towards moving in the slightest lol!

Millicent never army crawled, from about 7/7.5 months she got on all fours and did the rocky thing, then about 8 months she was off. It was so funny watching her crawl at first, very emotional but funny as she was so clumsy and loud banging around. Now she super crawls, really fast :) Amazing :cloud9:

Fin crawled at 6 months. We'd seen it coming. For about 2 weeks he'd been getting onto hands and knees, rockingm lunging and faceplanting xx

bella was 8 months. she'd been rocking on hands & knees & going backwards since 6 months, she's always been my cautious girl. she then cruised for 4.5 months before just learning to walk last week.
xx

My LO is 8 months and is showing no interest in crawling at all! He has been able to sit by himself for ages and he can go from sitting to lying on his tummy but once he is there, he just lies there lol! He is more interested in standing up to be honest, when he is on the floor he just kind of grabs whatever he can to pull himself up on to his feet.

Just after he turned 6 months, he'd been combat crawling for over 1 month prior to this. He suddenly got on his hands and knees and took off. Now he gets himself into the most extraordinary amount of trouble, he cruises the furniture with one hand with a cocky look on his face. I am pretty sure he will get the confidence to walk soon.

Madeline was 10 months. We knew it was coming as she had been nearly there for a week or so.

LO started to get on all fours at 6 months, on all fours and rocking 7 months, army crawling from 8 months then a few days short of being 9 month old he was crawling :)
