Wondering when your babies slept through without any sleep training.

My eldest started sleeping through the night at the age of 4,My 32 month old stil wakes up to 10 times a night,My newborn (2 weeks)does 4 hour stretches at a time!

I voted 9months + and I hope you won't think we don't qualify cause while we did 3 days of sleep training for Dominic's waking every 10 to 40 minutes in the evening, we did not do any for the nightly wakings as those were bottle related and continued after those 3 days. He used to have two bottles at night, one at any time between 11 and 2 and one 4 hours later. When he was about 9 months old on the advice of his doctor (as Dominic was getting overweight) I started diluting his 4am bottle and 2 days later he no longer woke for it. The midnight-ish bottle he just suddenly dropped one night when he was just short of 11 months. He woke one night and I got up to prepare his bottle but by the time I was done, he had dropped off again and sttn since then.

What are you considering STTN? I was told the books say STTN but mean like 5 hours at a time.

My daughter went to bed and did not wake till the next morning for the first time at 5 months but she has gone back and forth from sleeping all night to waking early or a couple times at night. We didn't sleep train. I nurse her to sleep at night.

I voted 3 to 6 but in all honesty I wouldn't say she's STTN since she doesn't do it every night just yet.

Around ten weeks of age, but this only lasted until she was four months old and has never STTN since :(

^wss. Sttn for the most part from 10-16 weeks. Then it all went to shit lol

Um never! Not what I would call sttn anyway.

They where not babies anyway,. later toddlers they both sttn. Its not really a set time for every baby.

Around 8 weeks he started to STTN but he's obviously had many nights where he's been up. For the most part though, he's gold! I am very fortunate.

I answered 0-3 months. They were 3.5 months actual, 1 month corrected. Now we're going through the 4 month sleep regression and they don't sttn anymore :nope: I have my fingers crossed that they will eventually sleep again...

I'm considering STTN to be a 5 hour stretch or more

17 months with DS1.
DS2 is almost 16 months and not yet STTN.

This doesn't mean they never had their nights that they slept through, but i def wouldn't have labeled DS1 as totally STTN until 17 months. A solid night of sleep was/is pretty rare. But we believe in gentle parenting, so i can honestly say there was no sleep training invovled. Though DS2 is high needs and sleeps w great difficulty, things are improving, i think his STTN days is coming to us soon. Which wouldn't surprise me since we follow their ques-it would make sense that they would be around similar ages per their body and such.

10 weeks. Hes 12 months and still sttn. Ive been very fortunate x

2.5 months, had a blip at 4 months, been alright ever since (besides the odd bad night)

She started STTN occassionally between 6 and 9 months. From 9 months on it became pretty consistent.

It's interesting that the results of the poll show that most babies started STTN really early and much much later (not many votes in the middle). I think it just goes to show it's all down to personality!

Not sure what to answer as he sttn for a month 3-4mo but then it really all went wrong. Then started again at 7mo consistently.

10 months, for about a month and a half. And then back to waking between 1-368865544 times a night.

Depends what you mean by sleep through but DD1 was 18/19 weeks when she did 8pm-8am, with a dream feed at 11pm. She just randomly slept through one night. I breast fed and co-slept.
DD2 literally only just slept through night before last! Bed at 730pm, I dream fed her at 10pm and she was still asleep when I woke at 8am! Woke once last night though!

If you mean 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep then DD2 started 'sleeping through' at 3 weeks old which stopped when she hit 4 month sleep regression!

at 10 weeks it was only for around 7 hours but i was happy and classed that as sleeping through at 4 months she went about a month of waking through the night again but not for a bottle just comfort then she started sleeping 7-4am that lasted about a month then from around 6-7 months she started sleeping 6-7-6am I feel ive had it pretty easy compared to a few mums and just know il not be this lucky again with the next one :haha:
