At what age did you LO begin to hold their own bottle? Whats the normal age??
i was thinking this as maddi is now reaching for her bottle and trying to hold it but her little hands are too small we have a good picture of her 'holding' it with it rested, but looks like shes holding it she can hold smaller objects but the bottles seem so big
I wanted to know that too , but Jayden is trying to grab his bottle from time to time, but he hasnt held it fully yet!
I have been trying to feed him with training bottle lately, but i don`t think its the time for him yet.
Well I have a 1 year old who totally refuses to hold his own bottle!!! he will hold his cup but not his bottle, I think he thinks that is mummys job !!!!! Lol
lol bless him! Jack used to kinda try to hold his a few months ago but only on random occasions he puts his hands on the bottle, although he does push it away when he has had enough
Is there where I get a proud mummy moment?
2months. She will sit and eat from a bottle on her own.
My bubs can hold a bottle but just not a 9oz one...he will but then it will keep slipping from his mouth and he seems to get frustrated...just wondering when he will be able to hold a 9oz bottle too xx
Oh, well Caitlyn never has more than 6oz, so maybe that's why.
I guess he will do it when he wants to. Some kids won't do it atall.
callum was about 3mths when he started holding his own bottle and he's fed himself pretty much ever since!!
Maybe iv just got a lazy baby
Hannah's only three months and she doesn't hold her bottle. She does rest her hands on it but I think it's more to look at her hands than anything else
I got max this bottle and he is holding it very well now
well done caitlyn and callum
at dec, poor you sabby
Jasmine could hold her bottle with 8oz in it from around 3 months but shes lazy and sometimes can't be bothered
oh bless her, well done though for be able to jasmine
my boy is 8months and has no intention on holding his bottle - he's more interested in holding my clothes and hands (which I think is quite cute really).
Charlotte started at around 3 months, but I kept taking it from her and holding it (awful, I know, but I wanted to be needed!) and now she won't hold it anymore
ditto. except Coltons only 8mo. He absolutely REFUSES! He will put his hands on it and reach for it to bring it to his mouth, but then he just lets go. Apparently it's not his job to hold it and if I put his hands on it to try and 'teach' him he gets mad at me and just starts screaming and jerking his hands away.
I bought a sippy like this for Colton. He refuses to hold that either. When I sit it in front of him he will smack his hand across the highchair (or whereever he is really) and knock it in the floor.
HARD HEADED I promise! LOL
