When do/did you start baby shopping?

Was just wondering when you girls start/started shopping for your and why.

I'm 12 weeks this wednesday, and I have a doppler so I hear the hb every week a few times, so I know all is well.
I'm going to buy the travel system this week, because we love it and it's on sale plus it has 5 star ratings outta 200 reviews or so.

We'll prolly buy the crib next month, so we'll buy a big item every month so it doesn't cut in our money so much.

I'll start clothing shopping and stuff after we find out the gender though.

we bought all the big items like the crib,diaper table,rocker chair,swing,bottles.

Clothes we also waiting to be sure what sex first

we waited until after 20 weeks, due to a previous loss & me wanting to wait because of it, but my OH wanted to buy a few things before then.

if the travel system you want is on sale.. then definitely get it now, there's nothing worse than kicking yourself because you missed out on a bargain

the buying one big thing each month idea is definitely worthwhile too makes it much easier x

After my 20 week scan as i wanted to no everything was ok and also find out the sex of my baby x

Big ticket items like cribs and prams around 20 weeks.

we went out and bought a little outfit after our 12 week scan (which was actually at 11 weeks) but then we didn't really buy anything else until after 20 weeks.

We bought the moses basket after the 12 week scan, nothing before that if I can recall correctly.

Bought a few more bits at 16 weeks and neutral clothes in-between then and the 20 week scan then bought a few pink bits when we knew the sex of buba.

We then waited until 24 weeks to buy the cot etc. Mum bought us the travel system but I didn't bring it back to our house until 30ish weeks due to superstition.

We didn't start until after the 20 week scan due to a previous loss and even then I only bought a pair of calf skin booties. We left all the big stuff until about 29 weeks after our 4D scan (at 28 weeks). I had chosen everything before she was even conceived so knew everything we wanted was readily available. Once ordered I had it all within a few days. I got the last few things last week like a TENS machine and birthing pool. We're all done and bag is packed in case I end up in hospital.

we have been buying things since 4 weeks, however this is only as we are on a very low budget and cant really afford to fork out alot towards the end. we got the cot etc all out of the way and now we know the sex weve got the next 20 weeks to buy all the accessories and clothes we want lol xx

Bought the odd thing from Ebay from about 8weeks. Second hand clothes mainly, very sparsely. Bought a couple of things from 12-20 weeks. And bought all the new expensive things after 20 weeks.

Looking back I'm glad I did it this way. I added up the amount of money we'd spent on baby just on the regular normal things and it was alot of money! If we'd decided to buy everything in bulk later on we simply wouldn't have been able to afford it all. x

I'm waiting to find out baby's gender, although I have made arrangements for some bigger things that we are getting second hand, haven't brought them home yet!

I started getting bits as soon as I could. I had 3 birthdays and school uniform to sort first, now I've got most of the baby stuff and I'm about to start on Christmas presents. All I've got left to get is the cot and bedding (not urgent as I have a moses basket for first few weeks and baby will probably end up in bed with me anyway) and a changing mat!

I'm organised as I know the last thing I'm going to want to be doing come December is staggering around the shops!

i had my order in for my pram when i was 16 weeks i think it was... apparently there was a 4month waiting list for it though so that's why i thought it'd best putting in an order early. we got our pram alot closer than what we were meant to though and it's now sitting in its box in the house

Lil things here and there like a pregnancy book, or lil shoes, shirts or toys i have got already but waiting to find out the gender for all clothes,blankies and nursey decor.
I think a crib wouldn't matter since we are not planning on getting a colorful one lol we want a cherry wooden darker color almost black crib,changing table and drawers and stuff .

due to previous loss we wont get anything untill past 20 weeks,..

with luisa and charlie i started getting things at 12 weeks plus x

we got luisas pram at 28 weeks but it stayed in mil garage until she was born!

I selected other because we didn't really buy anything. People gave us things, so we didn't have to spend any money. My shower was only a few days before he was born, so all we really ended up needing was to buy diapers after the birth.

We didn't buy anything until after after 24 weeks but were given a few bits and pieces before that.
