When do weekly apointments start?

Hi Ladies

Im on my first pregnancy and wondered when weekly apointments start as it doesnt seem my midwife does them.. and im consultant led so was suprised.

Thats a good question, this is my second pregnancy and I didn't really have weekly appointments at the of the last pregnancy even though I kept being told I would. The closet I came to them was because I'd insisted on seeing the consultant at 36weeks to get my breech baby diagnosed as the MWs didn't believe me. Then I saw him again at 38weeks when he wanted to do an ECV, 39weeks when I said no and that was that.

I'm sort of expecting to get weekly appointments from 34 weeks this time as I have placenta praevia and am getting a little nervous about that.

My weekly appointment started from 39 weeks which I thought was late I think it's meant to be from 36 or 37 weeks

I wonder why it doesnt become weekly for everyone? also why does it need to be weekly? I have a consultant apointment on the 2nd of feb and by the time i see the other midwife id be almost 40 weeks i think! x

I'm seeing midwife every week but that's only cos they need to keep eye on measurements otherwise it wud still be 2 weeks until 38 weeks I believe x

Im being seen every 2 weeks still and i'll see my mw next week when i'll be (nearly) 40 weeks (seen her last when nearly 38). After that, due to me having an underactive thyroid etc i'll be seen by the consulant at the hospital the week after, once im overdue. Dont know if the mw will see me again after that or not...

i have been going every 2 weeks for a month and a half... and after my appt on tuesday ill be going every singe week. Tho i am in the US and im high risk due to previous 3rd tri stillbirth so theyre tryig to watch me more closely.

Omg!! I am sooo sorry for your still birth! Thats my Biggest fear..sometimes it just happens for no reason.. xx I hope everything goes smoothly for you this time round

I've had weekly appts since 36 weeks - and I'm completely low risk, MW led.

I'm being seen every 2 weeks as of my last apt at 35 weeks and mw has given me no indication they will get any more frequent! I'm next due to see her at 37 weeks. She's not exactly forthcoming with information.... grrr.

I've been seen weekly since 37 weeks, and will be until birth, BUT it's because my blood pressure keeps going up but I have no other signs of Pre-eclampsia (except swelling but not enough), I'm just being seen so that if it does turn to pre-eclampsia, I will get seen and sorted straight away
