i know this isnt really even a problem but i worry about odd things.
my washing machines broken so i just text my landlord telling him and he said "i'll get someone to come and have a look at it, hope youre well". does he mean today?? or next week? i dont wanna say "let me know when" cos i dont wanna look rude?

Well I suppose he'll need to speak to an engineer and arrange a time, could you just text him back and say 'ok text me when you have a time and date and I'll make sure I'm in' or something similar?

Well you need to know, he won't think you're being rude if you just say, ' do you know when it'll be so I can make sure I'm in' or something :)

He'll probably mean when he's got in touch with the repair guy. I'm sure he has to let you know when he is coming round anyway
xx

no its not rude to ask when i'd say something like great can you let me know time/date once you've spoken to someone thanks

Just text him back and say Thanks, can you text me when he is gonna come round and i will make sure im home etc.

Just say 'thanks very much, can you please advise me when someone will be calling as I dont want to miss them'. Thats not rude. If anything, its the opposite. If you were to be out he may think 'she bloody asked me to get someone to go round and now she aint in *tut tut*' etc. Not sayin that ur landlord is like that but u kno what I mean :happydance::blush:
