I made us all sit in the garden yesterday evening to enjoy the weather..BIG mistake lol. Ive been bitten by something and the one on my face :)cry:) is about a inch in size and a lump and the on on my arm is huge, about 15cms in length, bright red, hot to touch and a really visible lump that itches like a trooper..:growlmad: What do i do with them? Will sudocreme help?

Doubt it.

Antihistamine will help and a cold pack on the swelling. x

Try antihistimine tablets/cream. I currently have 12 bites up both my legs :(

I ended up a&e yesterday..i was the 5th person to be seen there for a bite like mine that day and all were from my little villiage. They are doing something on the banks of the river clwyd which is 5mind walk from me and have disturbed what they think is mosquitos..i was given antibiotics, stronger antihistamines and hydro cortisone cream..its even worse today so im off there again later as its really spreading.
This is the arm this morning..

Im actually worried my arm will explode lol..i have some stretchmarks on the top of my underarm and they are that swollen they are now poking out the skin and on even bled! Cant imagine having 12 Bexy, that must be torture!! x

Wowee, that looks like an allergy to me. Definitely get an ice pack, because I assume the arm is hot to the touch? I would go to the hospital or the doctor and ask for an antihistamine, otherwise take Clarityn or Benadryl or something like that. Ibuprofen helps with swelling, but check on the packs that you can take it along with an antihistamine, because I haven't checked.

I get insect bites that turn into boils, and the doctors give me flucloxicillin to help it, as well as fucidin cream, which draws out all of the pus. Whatever you do, don't leave it too long, because it could worsen if they're not treated.

EDIT - just seen your most recent post about it. I hope they manage to give you something to help. But bear in mind that medication can sometimes take a while to start working. When I get the boils, I have to take 3 days of tablets before it starts to heal

I'll bet you any money it's a horse fly bite. They are so bad. The females bite and they also come out on hot sunny days and reproduce around rivers. I have had two bites from them this summer when I immediately saw a swatted off plus another from last year the same, all or which keep coming back up itchy as he'll, even the one from last year. I can't imagine how bad they'd been if I'd not noticed and they'd been allowed to feed.

There are something like 15 varieties of horsefly that bite. They also bite deer, horses and cattle (amongst others) and can be carriers of very serious diseases. If it doesn't look to be improving or you get new symptoms I would advise going back and requesting blood tests immediately.

ok obvi a bit different but i was eating a choco bar up the yard and went to take a bite only to get a mouth full of wasp! It stung me on the lip and now i look like elephant woman!
