When is day 1??

Hi there,
I just recently started charting and unfortunately realised that I have a short luteal phase (9-10) days. My period usually comes in the late evening but very light for which I don´t even need a tampon. My question is: is that spotting? or does it count as Day one of cycle.

I usually spot a day of 2 before period. CD1 is the day you get fresh red blood not the brown stuff. Hope that helps?! xx

Yep ditto that, 1st day of real bleeding is CD1
