When should i use OPKs?

What cycle day should i start using OPKs if my cycles are wacky??? My cycles are from 28-30 something days..... Like my last cycle (Decembers to this month) was 35 days...... the cycle b4 that 32....then b4 that was 28. so im confused on when to start using opks...I am going to buy a BBT thermometer so i can start taking my temp in the morning...any suggestions??

Hi! I would say start using them around CD10 or so. I also personally recommend FMU, even though it's opposite of everything I've read... I never get positive OPK's without FMU (and I got 2 positives this cycle! ) Well, Clearblue tests say that you can use FMU, maybe the others you have to use otherwise. Good luck hon! Hey, I think it depends on what tests you get.. like last time I got a 20 pack and you can use them everyday after your af stops.. I also used digital just to be sure.. this month plan to only use digital.. the clearblue with the smiley.. I used them this last month and got 3 days of positives.. I dont use them in morning.. I used mine around 2-3ish.. but some test twice a day to make sure they dont miss their surge.. if you go to clearblue dot come you can figure out when to start testing too..

i would start on cd 13 if i were you based off your cycles and if you cant afford 2 or 3 tests a day (like me) I would suggest taking them around 2pm (since ive never gotten an early morning surge and hear your surge usually happen in the afternoon) just be sure not to pee and not to drink too much 4hrs before you test!
