My 8 month old has got his first tooth through and although I know it's not atall necessary for him to brush his tooth yet I am curious as to whether it will make it easier encouraging him to brush his teeth when he really needs to if i give him a toothbrush now,as he will be used to it. I'm thinking just giving him a baby tooth brush at bath time, il firstly gently brush his gums then let him play with it/chew it. Should I put a tiny bit of milk teeth toothpaste on? Or is this all just a rubbish idea...advice please :) x

Sounds good :)

I started brushing LO's teeth as soon as they'd properly come through so that the gums weren't sensitive any more. I give her the toothbrush at bath time and have a proper go at them myself twice a day, with a tiny bit of baby toothpaste.
