when will you start to buy?

Have u already started to buy for baby? Or waiting til after 12 week or even 20 week scan?
Would just be nice to share peoples thoughts xxx

I had my scan at 10 weeks and started to buy small things now - will prop wait till 20 weeks scan to buying clothes etc. May order the pram before christmas to beat the VAT rise !! Im really excited about buying its lovely x x

We've been naughty and bought a few small things already as it was driving us mad.. We know it's early days and it's risky, but DH said if the worst happens, it's not like we wont try again We've got early scans at 7w1d (getting it for free from work lol), 9w5d (to check all is fine before Christmas) and then the 12 and 20 week ones. xx

I'm waiting until after the first trimester to buy for baby but it was so tempting last night because Walmart had tons of baby stuff on display 50% off! I'm also afraid if I buy something that I'll jinx myself.

Then, before I buy clothes or things like that, I'm going to find out if we're having a boy or a girl.

We are currently buying diapers/wipes etc...but waiting for my 20 wk scan to find out the sex..then I FINALLY get to shop..hehe

well probably start buying nappies soon. you cant really jinx yourself if you buy things early and if things go wrong its got nothing to do with buying stuff early. and if something did go pear shape then well use them when we do get a baby. il do what i did with my first pregnancy if i see something on special il buy it at this stage since boxing day is 5 weeks away which i guess works in at 12 weeks things will be on special. so were putting money aside each week so when boxing day hits we can have a bit of a spree. my first pregnancy i had the cot, pram and car capsule at 9 weeks because they were 40% off

I'm not even seven weeks yet and we have pushchair/carseat combo and a cot. We had the pushchair a year before we conceived tho..

we haven't bought anythng yet. i guessing after the 20 week scan when we find out the sex we'll get some gender related things . however we have got a bunch of hand me down things, crib, pack-n-play, rocker, stroller, and we will be getting car seats and a changing table sometime soon. all this stuff we got from my wife's cousin and his wife, they had 1 child and are positive that they are done. i already put the crib together

I've been looking at stuff all day! We feel very broke! We're only 6 weeks now. At about 20 weeks we're going to invest in some of the large items because it's in our budget at that point. meanwhile- we'll probably start stocking up on stuff like diapers and detergent as those won't go wasted. We are picking gender neutral items for the large items though cause we don't wanna rebuy everything if we decide to enlarge our family again in the future! So excited!!!

with the twins we started laybying very early, like 7 weeks, more so as we figured it was going to cost alot to get two of the essentials.
with this one we really have nothing to buy except a baby capsule, which i have layby a few weeks ago (i fully regret not buying two for the twins ) and i will need to buy a travel system stroller compatible with our capsule, which i'll probably buy some time after 20 weeks when i can be bothered to do it
oh and if its a girl i get to buy girly clothes if not ive got PLENTY of boys clothes

We haven't bought anything yet. My sister went out and bought some stuff when I was only 6 weeks. I guess I am going to wait a little longer.

I just started buying things when I hit 12 weeks. Not much though. My mom bought me my first two baby clothes and I bought a couple onsies and pacifiers. I'm gunna try not to buy much and see what we get at our baby shower first!

this time round i was just gonna wait til after 12wk scan now ive had the scan last week and im still hesitating to get anything til afer the next scan when i found out the sex i havent bought anything yet once i get started though i wont be able to stop!

I'm not buying anything ever.

I just did it all and had to return it all to pay for her funeral.

Couldn't bear the thought of doing it all again with the same result.

So if this baby actually makes it, who knows what the hell we would do with it. I guess someone would be running up to Walmart to buy some diapers and a carseat so at least we could get it home and change it... Maybe we'd put it to sleep in a dresser drawer... I don't know. But I won't be buying things ever again. And I didn't even start ordering stuff until 17 weeks last time

Now i feel like im an odd one. Ive been planning my baby with my OH since we were 16 and 17. so thats 4 years. what with collecting things while they were there, so we could have exactly what we liked insted of haveing to make do. and my aunti giveing me everything she owns as soon as her youngest grows out of it so she dosent see it and want another one. i only need 3 things. =3 Pram, cot and baby monitor. And i mean i have EVERYTHING. Am i mad??
