Just wondering what ppls opinions are about telling your boss.
When are you going to tell you boss, what job do you do!?
x

I am trying to hold out until after my 12 week scan. But... that depends on when the scan is. If I need time off, I might have to say something. I am going to try and just make up the few hours I might miss though. I'm trying to transfer internally, so I need as much time as possible!

I confessed to my boss about 6 weeks ago, i had really bad MS and the exhaustion was just crazy, plus we are a really small company so wanted to give them as much notice as possible.

I am waiting as long as possible as I don't think that my boss is going to take it too well, this is my third baby in three years

I told her straight away as i work with asults with learning disabilities & there's afew risks involved x

I told mine today and she was really happy for me :)

I had to tell cause I have bad MS and yesterday she was asking me if I was OK. Also, one of the guys at the front desk heard me throwing up so was asking people if I was!

Told my headmistress on first day of term. She had just welcomed back EIGHT teachers from maternity leave in her morning speech, and was so relieved. So I was nervous about telling her.

But she was great and so far I think I'm the only one up the duff this year :)

I told my boss on monday and I am only 4w3d  I kind of didnt want to but I work in a lab with lots of potentially nasty chemicals so did not have much of a choice. Only a few people do know just the people in the lab but even so I am worried I may have tempted fate byt telling someone so early.

Having said that I guess its no different to talking to you guys on here?? Oh I dunno since I found out last week I have just nonstop worried.

I have started talking to little bean now asking them to please stay with me am I nuts or what??

Well in my department there is only me and one other person. She handed her notice in just before I was 8 weeks so I sort of felt I should tell them so they can make an informed decision on how to replace her. Only the directors know though and the girl that's leaving as we get on really well and I wanted her advice about telling the directors.

They were all super happy for me and it's a bug relief not having to worry about them putting 2 and 2 together with me putting on weight and having a few doctors appointments. Makes it so much easier to get time off for my appointments too :). I am lucky working for such nice people but I haven't once doubted my decision.

I just can't wait till I can tell everyone else now :) x

I'm telling my boss tomorrow. I suffer a lot with nausea and last time had to work from home a lot as I couldn't manage getting to the office. I have been the same for almost 3 weeks so far this pregnancy so I want her to be ok with me working from home. I am a remote worker by myself with a HO in London so they don't actually know I've been home all this week. I also often work long hours travelling around so I want to ease back on that and them know it's appropriate.

I told my boss at 4 weeks, I had planned to wait until around 10-12 to tell. BUT, just figured why not. We are keeping it secret from all my co-workers for a good while though, I just figured she needed to know since I will be having Dr's appts and be needing to leave work. I just sit behind a desk all day so nothing having to lift or anything

I think I'll have to tell my boss tomorrow as I had a MMC before and she didn't know I was pregnant until I came back from being off sick with 'a tummy bug'. I work with people with physical & learning disabilities too so it can be risky. I'll ask her if we can keep it between us until I've had a scan just in case.

I do admin in a school and I told my line manager a few weeks ago, mainly because she is more like a friend than a boss and we share an office so I thought she'd probably twig as soon as my morning sickness kicked in as she knew we were trying.

I didn't inform my Headteacher until today though as wanted to wait till we'd got past the 12 week scan to let her know.

I don't want to at all!!!!! So you think he'd notice???!
