When your DH is blind.

I'm not really sure where to put this, so a discussion group seems like a good place to start.

Has anyone ever gone through a pregnancy/birth/early baby days and older days when your partner is blind?

I'm 21 and he's 29. He's diabetic. He is completely blind in his left eye as of November 2010. And now a year later,we will be travelling for a consult on November 30 because he recently had micro anurisms in his good eye.

Rendering him legally blind.
This news is relativly new, so TTC hasn't been discussed yet.
I could be pregnant this month.

Is there anyone who has gone through something similar?

Sorry, not something i have expereince with, i hope someone here can shed some light, if not, i would imagine there are some support groups on line, may be worth an internet search? x

Hey. I am legally blind from birth. I have a condition called albinism. I don't think (if you are concerned about his parenting) that it will be an issue. I have a son who is 2 and expecting another one. Feel free to PM if you have any questions as I'm not really sure what you are asking .
