is it like a huge gush? or a trickle ? Can you sometimes not even notice it? or is it a lot that you def would have to notice?

What color is it? clear like acutal water or some red blood coloring to it?

It can be a gush or a trickle and usually happens during labour, if it does trickle out before labour starts it usually continues to trickle out. It should be a clear liquid.

i heard it can happen as a huge gush or just trickle. but once it happens they will contiue to trickle. mine didnt break until i was pushing with DS, but i slightly remember them break ( though not so clearly due to the gas & air!):haha:

    great stuff!

would love my waters to break before labour this time around because at least you know labours happening very soon.

fat chance i guess though considering only 10% of waters break before. lol

Mine broke before i even had contractions. I stood up and it was a huge gush all of a sudden, then a few smaller ones. It was clear liquid. I went to the toilet and there was another 2 huge gushes then after that i leaked into a pad until delivery.

If its a trickle it means theyve ruptured near the top, if its a gush it means theyve ruptured at the bottom :)

My hind waters were a trickle - my main waters were a huge gush :)

What are hind waters? I had a trickle this morning, almost (tmi) like my period just started.

with my first lo, I laid down in bed, just got comfy and heard like a little pop and then a big gush of water, it carried on coming out untill he was born.

My contractions didn't start though - I had to be induced 2 days later x

Apparently they're water at the back of the head?! But literally i got up cause I thought I'd wet myself (tmi) but after I smelt it it wasn't wee! Changed my underwear, went back to bed and it soaked through again - which is when we phoned up the maternity unit and my contractions (early ones) started) If it's trickling it will get a pad wet pretty quickly! And it won't smell like wee :)
