So we've had a year of ttc and I need to know what is going on. Next step is the tests and doctors but I am not sure how to go about it.
I don't want to sit and have a discussion with the receptionist about it either so would really appreciate knowing what to ask for or book when I ring up.

Do I just book a normal appointment for myself.. Should hubby come too and make it a double appointment or should he see a doctor separately?

Any advice on the procedure would be really great

Thank you xx

Hi Belle Shine!

I'm just coming up to 1 year ttc too and braved the visit to the GP last week. I just booked a standard appointment and went on my own, as hubby couldn't get time off work!

GP sent me for blood tests on cd3-5 & cd21 to check all my hormones levels out. He did say that he wouldn't be able to refer me to a specialist or for anymore test until OH has had his swimmers tested. So, it might be worth going together if you can and getting everything done in one go.

Good Luck! x

Thank you Jaybo, I think I will book the appointment then for me and get him the registration forms (he isn't even registered with the doctors at the moment!). He was on about a home test you can buy in boots but I told him better to do it with the doc so they can refer if need be, plus it is free too. Am just not sure I can get him through the door and into the doctors chair! Xx
