Which building blocks?

We are looking at presents to by lo for Christmas and his Birthday we want to buy him some building blocks but which are the best....Duplo or Mega Blocks?

I've worked in a nursery so had every kind block under the sun, duplo was always the winner every time right up to the age of 3, would occupy them for hours.. megablocks went largely untouched x

Hmmm.... Ted LOVES his Megabloks. He'll sit and mess with them for hours, and is now stacking them himself xx

Thomas LOVES his mega bloks. They have been his most lasting toy ever. He's almost been playing with them for half of his life!

I would say Duplo, Joshua loves both but Duplo IMO is more sturdy & "sticks" together better. I can make allsorts, ermm I mean Joshua can make allsorts out of it!

Duplo. They have more "staying power". I can't imagine a 3 year+ playing with Megablocks but I CAN with Duplo xx
