So im looking at cotbeds and most of them you buy the mattress seperately so what matress is best? Sprung or Foam? Does it matter which you choose? I feel very clueless.
I've gone for sprung as they're supposed to last longer. The cot bed will last til about 4-6 years old so wanted a mattress that will also last that long. i know that I find a sprung mattress more comfortable than a foam one so just assumed the baby will too!
My auntie told me when she had her son (8 years ago) that she was advised not to buy foam but i dont understand why or if thats changed?
I was thinking spring purely for how long it lasts. x
I looked at loads of mattresses and ended up with one off Amazon for £44.99 and it's AWESOME quality! It's part sprung, part foam and nice and firm. I saw equivalant mattresses for £100+ in shops.
It got 5 out of 5 stars on Amazon too
we got this one https://www.mothercare.com/Luxury-M...031&pf_rd_p=231490867&pf_rd_s=related-tab-3-5
we were told it was best to get a firmer mattress and as it;s used in a cot bed that should last till they are 4 they said pocket sprung was better as would last longer and stay in shape, it also comes with a cover that can be zipped off and washed.
