Hi All,

I ahve a fiat 500, but struggling to get a pushchair to fit, so looking at getting a new car, but not sure I can drive a really big one.

Push chairs are also soooo confusing! I'm only little so after something light.

So just wondered what cards you all have/ will have and what pushchairs you are getting or considering which fir in your cars?

BIG thanks

I have a mini and am very reluctant to part with it. I have it narrowed down to three that I think will fit but are also relatively lightweight and easy to fold. The oyster, bugaboo chameleon and mamas and papas sola. I would be interested in other peoples opinions on this

hi hun :flower:.

i love fiat 500's

we've got a renault clio and were getting the bugaboo cameleon it folds down relativly small and you can take the wheels off which make it even smaller . it was quite pricey and was out of our first budget but managed to persuade OH :happydance:. its a dream to push and is extremly light

:flower:

xxx

i tried to sola today - it doesn't fit in my fiat 500 - think its got a smaller boot than the min, its a lovely pushchair thou- I wish it would fit!
Will have a look at the bugaboo - not heard or seen of that one.
Cheers ladies :)

Hi,

I have a Fiat 500 and have been having the same problem.

Quinny have the Zapp Xtra which does fold down very small and even shows it being put into a Fiat 500 on their website. The price for the Quinny is pretty good, I think Kiddicare has the best prices.

I will defo be getting the Quinny :flower:

Previously I had the silver cross linear freeway and it was MAHOOOSIVE. I had 3 cars whilst I had the pram at it didnt fit in to the boot of any of them, Fiat Punto, VW Polo or Nissan Micra (Yes they are all small cars!) My other half had a golf and it fitted in to that but only just. This time we stil have the fiat punto and the only ones that we found that actually fit in the boot with the parcel shelf still on were the mothercare my/my4, mamas and papas zoom, and the silver cross surf. (we didnt try the bugaboo ones because they were too expensive for us).

I had a corsa but just upgraded to a zafira as the boot space in the corsa was really tiny. Plus we needed the 7 seats as this is our 4th baby. I'm getting the bugaboo bee which is meant to fold really small. Not tried one out yet thou. Xx

we've got the silvercross 3d pram system and have a ford focus estate x

I've got a M&Ps Switch, and the cars we have are an Astra and an Alfa Romeo 169 i think it is. It fits in the back of the Alfa, as OH picked up the pram in that car, but not sure about the Astra yet.

im thinking on getting one of the Jane ones this time round, i have 5 cars, a type44 audi quattro, 2 c4 platform audi 100 quattros an audi a6 quattro and my big spacebus which is a seat alhambra which is tuned to death lol thinking on getting rid of the seat and buying a vw shuttle

How did you choose the pram? I am sooooo confused. I don't understand which bits I must have and which bits are nice to have. Tight budget too. I have an astra and the boot is massive. I'd love a Chameleon but out of my price range.

I got a metallic black Ford Fiesta (08 reg, zetec blue ... a gorgeous drive!) and I've got a Mamas and Papas Zoom coming. It's light, really nice to push and the wheels come off it and it folds down to virtually nothing. It'll be great as I've got the carrycot too so they'll both be able to be chucked in my boot. I can't wait til baby is here so we can test drive it together.

I found Mamas and Papas to be very reasonable. Their warranty starts on baby's birthday and lasts two years which is pretty good. Also, they have a few sales where you can pick up a bargain. Aaaaaand, when you order something, you only need to put down 25% deposit and pay the rest whenever you can, as long as it's before it gets delivered. By the way, I don't work for mamas and papas!

We originally chose ours when we had a micra and chose the oyster. It fits in comfortably as it folds really small. We've now (very luckily) been given a honda jazz with a large boot but we decided to stick with the oyster as we didn't want the boot completely full in case of going away/shopping etc.

I've never thought about this actually but very important question! Ideally I'd like the M&P ultima and use the carseat instead of the carry cot so it's just the base. Only have an ickle peugeot.

We have a Nissan skyline GTR (biggggg blokey Sports car with a teeny tiny boot) and we have a Mamas & Papas Zoom which fits perfectly with the wheels off

I've got a 1998 Honda Civic. It's got quite a big boot though and will fit the oyster chassis and the carrycot lovely

The bugaboo cameleon is a fantastic pram I can get it in my mums corsa boot but need to take wheels off which is very easy my car is a vectra so sits perfectly xxxx

I picked my pram based on the fact we had one with DS 7 yrs ago only this one is a newer version but still going strong lol

We got a Chicco Trio pushchair/travel system which fits into my Astra Sport Hatch boot. I will need to check if it fits into DH's Renualt Clio, our previous one did with DH's older shape Clio however he now has a current shape Clio which does have a slightly different size boot (deeper but maybe narrower internally). We will at some point have to change 1 or our cars to a people carrier as this is baby 4 however I don't want to change mine as my DH bought me it brand new for my 30th birthday last year and I loooooovvvvveeeeee it lol and DH loves how economical his diesel clio is and the £30 a yr tax :) ....... we are going to decide sometime next summer what we are going to do car wise so for the first 6 months with baby if we all go out we will take 2 cars. On a day to day basis I can fit 4 children in my Astra for school runs (oldest is 12 so she sits in the front anyway)

Its funny really as we got rid of a seat alhambra people carrier for my Astra

If we decide to get a pushchair (still not decided if we'll actually bother), we'll probably get a Quinny Zapp Xtra. They fold up small, are lightweight and forward and rear facing with several recline positions.

We have an 06 Volkswagen Jetta which has a HUGE boot, so size is not an issue, it's the lack of usage it would get!
