White nipple v painful

We've had challenges latching but we seem to have nailed it on the right. However my left side is excruciating and goes white on the tip. I can't go on nursing that side as it makes me scream in pain and cry. The latch looks good and deep when she's on, on nipple is not crushed afterwards.

Any ideas?

Ohhh hun OWWWW. I remember getting that and omg the pain. I dont cry ever usually but I sobbed when LO latched on and had to deep breathe during the feed! Cover it with lansinoh cream before the feed and straight after!

Does it go away after a bit? I'm thinking vasospasm, that make the tip go white like that, but it goes away after nursing

To me it looked like a vapospasm too. I used to get it on my left side. The only difference is mine used to get painful after feedingas well. The only thing that helped was a different latch. Im 10 weeks in now and I dint have the problem anymor.

I haven't seen the picture but I also would guess vasospasm. I have Raynauds and find if you can keep in warmer temperatures (keep the nips warm before feeding) can help. If you keep having trouble with it you should consult a lactation consultant. There is medication that can help with it if you need it.
