WHITE POO (very worried)

My son had white poo last night. I know this is usually a very bad sign for the liver. I made him a doctors appointment and they squeezed him in at 11 this morning!!!! This scares me even more because they don't do that unless it's serious. I am at work so my partner is taking him.

I'm sooo terrified something serious is wrong.

Anyone else experienced a white poo with their children? What happened?

Not personally - but a friends son had very pale poo...turned out it was a side effect of a stomach bug. Has he been ill recently? Is the poo runny?

Fingers crossed all is ok - and that it's just a bit of a dicky tum...keep us updated.

No, he's been constipated. Tarry poos, reddy brown poos, so on. But always firm.

The poo looked like mashed potatos, it was that white...

My daughter had a bug recently and it made her poos white and a few friends lo's kids have had the exact same so hopefully its just that. Also the poo was white before she showed any other signs of being poorly Kx

Twins had that a few times after they've had a stomach bug,they were fine within a day or two.

Thank you so much everyone!!!!!!!!!! Especially with the tummy bug - maybe that's all it is, I don't know yet.

The doctor was fantastic. He applauded my partner for bringing him in so quickly, because yes it could be a sign of something serious that is best caught in the early stages. He had his first blood test yesterday - I left work and went to be with him. He was a jem; cried a bit but sooooo well behaved. I went and bought him a lolli after. We're doing the urine tests today.

The blood test results should be back either today or at latest tomorrow...

Hopefully it is just a bug. What a worry though. Emma has had a few tummy bugs which have turned her poos very white. It is pretty scary when it happens.

His liver showed abnormal but all the things he was tested for came out negative.
