Who buys the gifts for OH's family?

I always end up buying the gifts and writing the cards for my in-laws, even last year when we weren't getting on.

It's the same for birthdays, it's me that sends the card or buys the present and if I don't do it then they don't get one.

Even if I remind DH every day for weeks in advance he still forgets.

So who does it in your family?

i do it all but ohs family only get smellys and the kids each a toy same as mine xx

It's mixed really, I usually end up sorting out cards because OH won't write them to friends etc and I usually end up wrapping most of his presents because well... you should see the state they end up in! But the past two years he's bought them himself for his side, we'll see what happens this year haha

before hand and we tend to agree

I do it. dh is crap at buying gifts for family. Occasionally he buys for fil if he has seen something though. I don't mind though because now that we (sils etc) decided just to buy mil/fil and the kids I enjoy it. I wouldn't enjoy dh buying for the nieces. this year we're going out together BUT I'll still pick the pressies

I pick all the gifts for both our families, as my OH is poop with things like that, but we use our joint money. x

My OH is useless. He literally does nothing for christmas. I chose, I buy, I wrap, I organise, I plan on visiting, I cook Oh and I tidy

Wish my OH wasnt such a 1950s man.

Before I came along his sister bought his mum, nan, grandad and uncle between them and just tell him how much he owed her at the end. He told his mum her bag was nice once and was it new. Hmm, we bought it for her you dick haha

Nope he stresses me out so I just do it all myself!

I write all the Christmas cards out as well! I kind of like doing that!

OH buys all the gifts for his side and I buy all the gifts for mine.. He has a smaller family than me but I dont mind. His mum and sister are hard to buy for so I dont bother. I just wrap it up lol and stick all our names on it.
If I see something that I think they might like I get it and he gives me the money.

I do presents, cards, all the buying etc. for both our families. Birthdays too! He just doesn't remember birthdays, and is bloody useless when it comes to choosing presents. I don't mind - I quite enjoy it!

I buy all the gifts and keep an eye on the budget but OH gives suggestions on what his side of the family would like. They do a secret santa though and only buy one gift which usually ends up being a daft joke one which baffles me somewhat but whatever suits I guess
