Whose 4 month old does this?

Lately we've been noticing jordyn Trying to get out of her car seat if she doesn't want to be in there she well lift her head and chest today we noticed while lying down in bed with us she was doing sit up type things over and over again holding them for 10 seconds we counted we joked and said she was trying to get abs ... Is this normal for a 4 month old ?? She can't even sit up on her own yet we always do little practice trys but then she's doing sit up things on repeat !

Yeah my little guy does it all the time. Especially at night after I put him down to sleep he will try and sit up! It sucks. He never does it during the day so it's so frustrating. He can't sit up either but he's getting there

Yes, my LO used to do this....we called it his Pilates move....

Rylee does this all the time, in her car seat, bouncer, laying down while changing her, when she's in my arms while I'm feeding her a bottle, I think she's trying to sit all the way up on her own. Rylee hates laying down now, she even fell asleep sitting up on my lap earlier today! I think it's them strengthening their ab muscles so that they're strong enough to sit up on their own in a couple months.

my baby's been doing that too! the past two weeks or so... she gets really mad when she can't sit up and the straps are holding her in she sits on my lap on her own and she'll try to sit up when on her boppy too!

when do they normally start sitting on their own??

Our LO started doing this when she was around three months old. She must have been tired of lying on her back all the time.

My lo started at 3 months and sat up at 4months, I was pretty shocked because I was convinced he was going to put strain on his back but he just couldn't wait to be sat up so he can be nosey and see everything lol x

Isabella does this! Is just her attempting to sit up!

My LO does this only occasionally, he really strains when he does it, must be quite a workout!

Gabriella has been trying to sit up since she was about 12 weeks. I swear that baby has the most amazing abs I've ever seen We keep trying to tell her she's only 4 months but she's not listening lol

Elsie does it. She's also started throwing herself back and she's so strong and fast I struggle to keep grip! And she uses her feet to push herself around, started on her chanhe mat but now she does it in her cot, on my bed, on the floor... cant leave her for 2 mins! These babies need to slow down me thinks....

My little guy does this and when i let him grab my fingers with his hands he pulls himself all the way up. He can sit unsupported for a short amount of time but not long enough to class as sitting alone just yet. He is however rolling in both directions...lol

Mine does it too! And when that doesn't work he starts pelvic thrusting instead crazy child!
