From loads of the posts on here I have seen alot of people saying their OH won't let them put their trees up early, will not buy presents before a certain date and will not even discuss Christmas.

What are your OH like about Christmas? We should start a crusade to make our OH excited lol!!

Santa does exsist he's just retired now so women have to help :haha:

Yep my OH 'doesn't do' christmas apprently. I said 'Well when this baby comes I want her to feel the magic and excitement of christmas!' and he looks at me like 'meh'

=[

He says birthdays are more important, which I can understand but I am really hoping her first christmas (2012) he will make the effort to get excited! Just for her lol

Men!

:winkwink: Because Santa doesn't exist...

Bloody men!!! Yes that means you!!! Welcome to the site, keep popping into Santa's Grotto and us ladies will get you excited for Christmas!! x

You should offer men services like that missus....the admin will tell us off  xx

 its you with the dirty mind!!! And he would be so lucky, the only thing that goes in my mouth is food and drink, then again I am partial to a bit of cream cheese :haha:

Well this year I've managed to get him a "bit" excited for christmas.

I caught him browsing christmas stockings on the internet the other day that's he's going to buy us with our names on them as he felt sorry for me that I've never had one :haha: and every now and again he'll mention christmas day, I already know he's bought me a present

BUT he's also a scrooge at times. Today I saw some pretty chocolate tree decorations in a shop that I wanted to buy and his response was "Kelly, do you really need to buy them? It's only September" ... I plan on sneaking them in my basket next week :D

Probably because they fail at it. Cooking, cleaning, buy presents, wrapping presents... The kind of things they hate and are crap at :haha: Bless em, no wonder they get all moody...

Cos they are crap at it.

They can't cope under stress, budgeting for pressies, cooking a 24lb bird for 18 and not poisoning anyone.

All they are good for is bringin the presents out of the loft and hogging the remote!!!

V xx

God thought it was only mine!!!

He is like NO MORE PRESSIES FOR CHLOE [its only September and yes i've brought her enough already but when he says stupid things like that I choose not to listen!]

Mind you he got a bonus last week and yesterday gave me some money to go and get all the kids that we have to buy for so they will be done, i'm sure secretly he is excited!!!

Think with my OH it's the money aspect of it all..

Also with being off work at the moment if I did all the Christmas shopping now by mid Nov (even though I'll be about 37 weeks!) I'd have nothing to do! haha

My DH reckons Im going to ruin Christmas cuz I'm so excited about it early and have got all of LOs presents haha xx

there is a difference between being sensible and thinking about christmas as soon as the new year starts :haha:

I think it is because they are rubbish at it. My husband doesn't buy any presents doesn't really like Christmas. Last year our DD was 3 and a half months old so she didn't really know it was Christmas. He did make a big effort and got a fab new Christmas tree for her though. We had a old artificial one and I've been on at him for ages to get a new one so he did last year.

Well I don't think most men are against it they just like to have christmas only in christmas time and not when it is still summer outside (northern hemisphere)

We are buying and wrapping pressents already.. Also planned where the tree will be going

I just asked my OH and he said this is why , "ladies spend to much money on toys that are not going to be played with, food that is not going to be ate and decorations that are not needed, we are not against Christmas, we are against buying things that are not needed" !!! So there you go ladies a man's point of view.

My OH's birthday is on Christmas eve and doesn't even get excited over that. I think he just hates spending money. In his words 'It's a swizz'
