My bump seems to have stopped growing, I'm concerned the baby isn't growing too :( I know he's ok since he's been fairly continuously booting me since Saturday, the boy seems to never sleep!!
I'm concerned cus i'm ill at the moment with a chest infection and pluracy and i'm worried this is having an effect on him...any ideas why i've stopped growing? I thought it would be noticable growth at this stage...

I think they just start to pad out a bit now rather than having any major growth spurts so try not to worry too much. :)

You will have some weeks that you don't seem to grow, or grow very little. Then baby will hit a growth spurt and your bump will suddenly pop

With my first, I hardly grew but baby was fine. I wouldn't worry about your infection. Last week I had the nurovirus and was convinced the baby would be dead when I went for my scan but nope he was moving and being grumpy like his daddy!! You also might be carrying on back as well. Try not to fret

My bump hasn't grown much over the last few weeks, but I can feel the baby has grown when he sits in a certain way and his back is against my tummy! I'm sure your LO is growing fine and when we have huge bumps we'll be giving off! lol!

I think it's normal to have growth spurts and more quiet times. The most important thing is that your baby is measuring normally. How was your 20 week scan? If there was nothing for concern, I wouldn't think too much about it. Every woman gains weight differently during pregnancy.

Also, I don't think your chest infection would have any impact on the baby. Pregnant women have been getting the common cold for centuries and I don't think it's caused any damage to their little ones.

I feel the same too. I feel like I am the same size that I was at 18 weeks when I went to the doctor. But I guess I'll find out at my appointment this week. Then I figure I must be growing, because my lower back pain gets increasingly worse with every week blehhh.

I wouldn't worry hun...babies go through growth spurts at different times...if you are still feeling baby kick, and your mw or doctor is happy with your growth I wouldn't worry at all! Some women just have long torso's and carry small...which is totally normal...I have a short torso so there's nowhere for my baby to grow but OUT...lol!

With regards to your chest infection...this WILL NOT harm your baby in any way.
Over christmas I had a terrible stomach flu, and was convinced that my baby would die during this time (I was so sick)...but nope baby was kicking and playing with it hands at my ultrasound a couple weeks later! Don't worry too much (I know it's easier said than done) hugs!

I haven't grow a lot either and my bump is tiny compaired to most but my uterus measures spot on.... Bump size means nothing xxxx
