I am trying very hard to build up my supply. At the moment, I am topping off with formula and trying to feed/pump and taking Fenugreek and Blessed Thistle to bump up the supply.
Anyway, in my first pregnancy, I gained 70 lbs and it was gone within 4 months. Plus some. In this one, I gained 40 pounds despite eating very healthy and exercising. Since my c-section, I have lost 20 pounds and the scale hasn't so much as budged in either direction since!!
For the first couple weeks, I ate whatever I wanted. After that, I have continued counting calories (1600-1700/day), I have tried Weight Watchers. I have walked 10,000-15,000 steps/day. I have gone back to yoga. I have tried eating natural, unprocessed food. I've tried eating more, and tried eating less.
NOTHING is helping. The scale has been in the same spot since the initial 20 pounds. My baby is 3 1/2 months old and I haven't lost weight since the end of the first month. This is extremely frustrating for as hard as I've been working.
Is this normal for BFing women? I love how they always say that BFing will help you lose weight. I didn't BF my first born and I lost weight extremely quickly. So it seems that theory isn't working out for me.
Any thoughts/ideas/tips? Has anything worked for you? Am I overlooking something?
