WHY do people KEEP telling me "you've got aways to go yet!"

Ive heard this allll the way through my pregnancy. Now that Im 32 weeks I thought MAYYYBEEEE Id be past this...but nope someone today said to me "Ohhh your not due until May? You've still got awhile to go!"

Grrrr...

Pointless threat lol but annoyed a bit

I hear ya... I'm kinda big for how far along I am, so people ALWAYS ask how much further I have to go. When I say June, they say things like, "oh, that's forever away!"-- gee, thanks!!

ive had the opposite from about 22 weeks ive had people say "not long now" which i dont get because its ages. ive had quite a few people saying i havent got long to go, i still think its ages away.

I had this yesterday actually! Someone actually said to me 'oh you've got AGES left yet'. I just replied 'well no actually, under 4 weeks now, not long at all!'. People will say something for the hell of it without thinking, and when you're this pregnant they have no idea how dejected it can make you feel!

OMG!! I'm going to be able to say that! And I thought coming into March and saying "I'm due the month after next" was exciting lol!

If it makes you feel any better, it feels like I was hearing that "halfway" crap just yesterday... those last several weeks flew by!

Bless you hunny! Wait till you get to my stage I get "OMG not long now, he could be here anytime now" i'm thinking anytime after 37 weeks and I will be happy! OH had the same thing all day yesterday! Everyone that walked into the office mentioned how little time we have to go! Good luck girlies xxx

I found I got them comments only up until the other day when I hit 36 weeks. Now I'm telling people it's just over 3 weeks and they're like 'wow.. that's not long'. Stupid how a few days can make all the difference. LOL. x

it drove me mad when people would say that to me tho see as soon as you get into april they will be saying oooo anytime now thats what happend to me in feb id be like im due mid april ooo youve got ages then 1st march id say the same n they'd say oooo not long now or your fair game anytime really peple are fickle! xx

It never stops. Someone asked me how many weeks gone I was today, I replied 39 weeks this weekend and she still replied "a while to go yet then!!!" How much closer can you really get!!!!

I've been finally getting the "Not long to go now!" remarks - but they actually bug me more!! I either think "Well done for telling me... I hadn't noticed!!" or I think "You try being me and then you tell me its not long. Its the longest 3 weeks of my life!!!"

It just doens't get better haha!! x
