Why do they say no dummies?

because it confuses the baby x x x x they will start to use your boob as a dummy and this is frustrating x x x

Just because it's another different sucking action to learn.....

BUT.....

Did you read this......

https://www.babyandbump.com/breastf...ombining-pacifiers-dummies-breastfeeding.html

:happydance:

I used a dummy with Caine after 1 week, he was on the nipple all the time and it stopped that so much xx

i used a dummy from day 2 and it was totally fine, no nipple confusion and stopped him nursing on me all day long!

Only prob now is he cries in sleep when dummy falls out :dohh:

As said it's due to the suckling action. we used a dummy after the first week because LO just would not go down unless one of us were holding her. We had no issues with it.

Like everyones said its to avoid confusion. Having said this I've never heard of / come across a baby that has got confused! We tried Daisy with a dummy after about 2weeks but never took to one - she has now discovered her thumb which she prefers and it means she settles herself if she wakes up - bonus!!
