Why does facebook assume im pregnant?!?!?

Why is it that just because I have had a married status for 2 years now all the facebook adverts are for pregnant mums? Its getting on my nerves now.

Is it not enough that I have to contend with people posting their pregnancy news and updates but now you must rub it in by advertising all these pregnancy clubs to join??

Anyone else get this?

I think it has to do with spyware and it chooses the ads based on searches your make/ sites visited. So since your'e TTC it probably just picked up on the pregnancy aspect of it.

I can see how annoying and hurtful it could be. :hug

They go into your cookies and see what you look at most. All of mine are about pregnancy

Yes, I get this too fluffy and it really pis%es me off!!

All of my ads are about "getting pregnant naturally"... (are you kidding me???)

I keep closing them and marking them as offensive, but they keep popping up...

Yeah, they are able to look into your computer and chose adds that are supposed to market to your likes. I'm pretty sure they are far from accurate! That's one of the things I hate about facebook.

seriously it's the same way for me! i'm about to go bananas on facebook if i see another pregnant woman in an advertisement!

Phew! I thought I was going crazy. My FB page was filled with pregnancy Ads since my TTC until now. It's so darn annoying! HUrts like mad when I was TTC for years, to see those ads. Now, these ads have no meaning to me as I don't shop international. Maybe you guys are right, it's about the cookies...should clear it out.

Facebook is almost as bad as going to the OBGYN this last friday. I walked in with my husband, looked around the room and said "omg...I'm surrounded by the pregnant types!' He almost cried he was laughing (quietly) to himself! Luckily I only whispered this to him. I'm almost to the point where I say it out loud! lol.

Goodness, damn facebook. I thought I was going insane. How do I delete the cookies?!?!? im not too bad but not a great whizz with computers!

If you go into your top bar and choose tools it should them have a section for internet options. When you open this box it should have a option which says delete cookies.

I just added a new / old work friend on facebook. Her first question was 'how many children do you have'. Yeah that would be, erm let me count ..... oh yeah NONE!!

I get the ads them too. I get the Trying to Concieve naturally ones. I also get a lot of Art (for other artists and for art supply) and Occult ads. I get where the art comes from but not really the occult. I guess because a lot of my art and art friends are into fantasy art? They have to be big time into the spyware. I just ignore most of the adds on Facebook. They aren't worth my time worrying about it.

And I so know what you mean about "how many kids do you have?" "When are you going to have a baby?" "Do you guys even want kids?" Enough to drive you crazy. I also have a pet peeve about people changing their profile pic to a sonogram pic. I get posting it but your profile pic. Come on now really? I even have one Daddy to be with a sonogram pic as his profile.
