Been feeling really crap about myself today after taking a photo of me and oh and seeing my double chin so anyway FIL comes over (havnt seen him since before I got pregnant) and he says to me “come on then love let's see your bump” so I turned round to him and I was like “oh yeh my bumps pretty small” and he laughed and said “your bump my be small but you've put it all on your face and thighs”!! I could of punched him! I saw oh look at me knowing how crap I've felt all day I feel like crying! I hate to think people think that what they see me espicially my face because I have chubby cheeks naturally haha! Boooo men hey! Never seem to know the right thing to say!

hun - im with you. when i went round the in laws my OHs father said ''nan said she knew you were pregnant cos you had filled out a bit!''



i was only 10 weeks when i saw her!!!

men just dont get what you say and DONT Sy. esp when pregnant as most womens hormones are up the wall and we can feel pretty low at first

Wow! That IS rude. Usually, when people post about being offended by people's comments about like, "Oh, your bump is huge" I feel like they can be a little oversensitive...but I'm with you on this one, hun... that was flat out dense of him!

I agree, I think the big bump comments are not so bad, but to comment on your face and thighs is just RUDE! I know my butt and thighs are bigger, but if someone pointed said something to me about it I would cry. I'm already upset about it myself. Definitely don't need it pointed out to me.

I feel like a lot of people think it's ok to poke fun at pregnant women because weight gain is normal during pregnancy and somehow they think that means we're perfectly fine with it. Sometimes when people comment on my growing belly...my OH will joke about the size being attributed a lot to poop. He thinks he's being cute...I just feel embarassed and fat.

We all need to be firm and clear about it when someone does lack complete tact and empathy. Tell them....and poke fun back!

Thanks girls! I seem to be getting it off everyone! Its my bestfriends birthday today and I now feel that crap I don't want to go! But if I do I'm deffinately not getting in any photos!
