why dont they just sleep??

I just wondered why overtired babies wont just go to sleep??

Been having a very grouchy girl for the past 4 days now as shes not been having her morning nap ( because she wakes up ), as a result, she SCREAMS the house down at this sort of time.
Ive been holding her and doing to usual thing for abbout half an hour and she still was screaming, ive put her in her cot to see if she'l self settle.

I just wondered if anyone knew why they dont just sleep??

Because they're overtired it's then hard to go to sleep. It's a fact that the more sleep a person has the more it needs.

because that NEED to be awake is their need to live... its a survival thing x

when my lo is over tired, i give him a warm bath and chill in a dark room seems to settle him and eventually he will go sleep, its so hard when you know they wanna sleep but they cant x
