Why I'm making sure I pack extra clothes in my hospital bag!!

After the birth of my son, I asked DF to go home and bring some bits back into hospital for me, as I only went in to be checked and didn't take my hospital bag, but ended up giving birth a few hours later. I asked him for my hospital bag, and coming home clothes for me, knickers, trousers, top, etc. Easy job?? Er, no. Bless him. Imagine my face when I opened the bag to find that 10 hours after giving birth in December, I was going home in flip flops!!! Even worse, I was also wearing a black top ( well done DF) WHITE linen maternity trousers and a THONG!!! Bless him!! Gave my ward a right laugh I can tell you!! Just thought I'd share! X

lol ..awwh at least he tried,but that is hilarious - mines is just as hopeless which is why i have a coming home bag organised too lol, which he should just hopefully just have to pick up and bring to the hospital.

lol what are they like! Mine came with a freshly washed and ironed top on a hanger...............shame it was my nightie!

I went into hopsital at 20.6 week in just what I was wearing for a check - never thought things had gone badly wrong (they had) and I ended up in there 6 1/2 weeks .. took Hubby days to bring me in the stuff I needed (thank goodness for a friend who brought me a nightie, deo toothpaste in a care pakage) in the end Hubby ended up just buying me the same pack of asda nighties over and over (bless he couldn't keep up with the washing, work and our 10 year old) so I am sure everyone thought I had only two nighties!

I have had my bag packed since before 20 weeks this time - and luckily have had no need for it. Our OH do try but sometimes have no idea!

I had my gallbladder out three years ago and I was so thin when I went in, I had size 10-12 jeans held up with A belt and a tight t shirt
well during surgery they puffed my stomach with air which was still there after
so I looked seriously pregnant and my jeans and t shirt would not fit
mike came to the hospital with a spotty ra ra skirt I had bought for an eighties night
a benneton t shirt that I used for the gym and a pair of babycham trainers with pink socks. I looked like crap!

aww haha this is something my OH would do. Im packing an extra bag and leaving it at home just in case too. Then if I have to send him home its there, bet he will still mess it up though arrrr

lmao that is funny, i now know why i always pack my hospital bag for like week 30, there is no way dh would pick a sensible outfit, lol..
