when we're sick, we are expected to tough it up and take care of the baby regardless, but when men are sick, they seem to be exempt from EVERYTHING!? I couldn't even get a full hour of sleep last night because DH "can't" soothe Alex BULLSHIT BULLSHIT BULLSHIT!!!!!

Oooh totally sympathise with you!! (hugs)

I just showed this post to my DH, and said "This is YOU!" And he apologised, then started saying he thinks it's amazing that women can push though anything (pain/sleep deprivation/stress) etc to look after and soothe their baby, and he admires it and thinks it's wonderful etc etc.. And then i said "So you think I won't be mad at you for being useless and I'll feel better about doing it all the time if you compliment me and say how wonderful I am?" And he laughed and said "Damn, can't blame me for trying!" I don't know whether to be mad or laugh, so I'll give a combination of the two..

ahh I completely sympathise! Most men seem to become little boys when they're ill, my LO and OH were both ill around the same time, and who made the most fuss... DH! LO was wingey, but you'd think no one had been ill before with the way DH was!

DH has the cold, the same one Jen and I have, but he has to lie in bed recovering from his... they really are pathetic sometimes... Xx
