I'm having a bad day ladies ...

For some stupid reason I've started panicking that I will never have another period and that I won't be able to get pregnant. I think it's hit home today because my brother's girlfriend has come on and she brought herself some tampons today when we were out in town. Can't believe I'm jealous of someone having their period, how pathetic is that?

As my ticker says I've lost 5.4 kgs so far, and plan and continuing on this diet plan to lose more weight and get healthy. I was 170.7 kg to begin with, so to get this far I'm feeling quite pleased with myself.

The Nurse I've been seeing says that if I continue to lose weight I will get my periods back and should be able to get pregnant, as all my bloods and scans came back clear. But I just can't bring myself to believe her just at the moment.

Is there anything I can do to kickstart them? :nope:

Hey lovie
The only things i can recommend is a good pre-natal and perhaps Evening Primrose Oil. Also hun i was told by my FS that women can still ov and not have a period so don't be too down hearted they will returen im sure xxx

I just feel like kicking myself because I used to wish they would go away when I was younger, and I'd be glad I didn't have the "hassle" of bleeding. I know it will sound stupid, but I feel like, because I wasn't bothered about them when they first started that that's the reason they've gone away. I know it's daft of me to think so, but I feel like I need something to blame as well as my weight

I'm doing loads more exercise than I used to. I've just come off half an hour on the nintendo wii, the new dance on broadway game, it's fantastic. I can't believe how sweaty I've got :dohh:

I never knew you could still ovulate even though you weren't bleeding, but is it actually possible to get pregnant? See, the thing is every month, I have a difference in cm, pretty much about the same time, and it would seem that I am actually ovulating, think I might need to invest in some of those sticks ...

Have you tried vitamin c hun? I was told to try a 3000mg dose, it didnt work for me but apparently does work for some!!x

I haven't tried vitamin c yet, but I do have tubs of evening primrose oil and starflower oil that I need to get started on again lol

hi ya, im in same boat as you, after i had the mirena coil removed my periods stopped all together, i had the coil put in because af was regular every 28 days.

the only time i have had a af in last 2 yrs is thro taking northesterine ( to have blood tests etc as need a bleed), but they do not stay, i have the one and thats it. Still they cant explain why they stopped or if the coil stopped them, so know how ur feeling hun, its horrible i never know when i ovulate its so frustrating xxx

I know exactly how you feel!
Ive got loads of weight to loose, Im on metformin now so I am losing weight slowly. Im waiting for AF right now! I didnt Ov this cycle, I dont know if I ever have Ov'ed??
Ive just rang my Doc to see if he will give me anymore provera to start another bleed, so I can take double the dose of clomid. I will find out tomorrow if he will let me...FX!
I'm hopeing to do 3 rounds of clomid then Im putting off ttc till after my wedding next year and concentrating on losing at much weight as poss.

Your doing so well with the weight loss! what diet are you following?

It's a weight loss programme the Dr has put me on, so basically cutting out sweets, choccy etc, having a proper breakfast, eating lots of fresh fruit and veggies, and doing more exercise ...

got another weigh in tomorrow, fingers crossed ...

Get on google or bing or whatever and research your guts out.

Good luck!

I know how that feels. How long have you gone without an AF? I went for almost 5 mths without AF last year, for no rhyme nor reason.

1. I think Agnus Castus - Brought my AF once, but it stopped again
2. Found out I had hypothyroidism - or hyper, not so sure...so I started my thyroid pills - brought on AF twice, but stopped
3. Been on Metformin the past 3 mths and have been having my AF ever since....

It's been quite a while, we're getting on for 6 or 7 months now, but the Drs seem a bit wary to prescribe anything for me because of my weight. The nurse is very confident that once I lose this weight, I'll be back to having my period

Another way to find out if you are O'ing (not sure if you've tried this or not) is to do BBT along with the OPK's! If you get an account like fertilityfriend or something it can help you chart it! Again I don't know if you've tried this but its been recommended that I start trying to keep my chart again!! It just helps to know exactly what your body is doing!!
