Winding - LO screams

Hi all

My LO is 12 weeks old and screams when we take the bottle away to burp him. We are percivering to make him burp but I cant help feeling hes in pain.

When we burp him he is rigid and cries but eventually will settle and even smile. Is he just crying coz hes hungry or something else?

I dont think its colic, it breaks my heart but if we dont wind him hes really sick.

Please help

we have to wind bella after each ounce & she'll get upset because she's still hungry. but likewise, we have to do it because otherwise she'll be sick. she goes rigid when we do this, but simply because she's so upset at having the bottle taken from her.

Hi Hun. Try to give him all his bottle then wind him. It worked for us. Omar used to scream when we used to stop for winding. Omar was a sicky baby & we found that giving him the whole bottle then wind him worked much better for his reflux xx

Maybe just continue feeding? Our son was the same, i wanted him to burp because he's a happy chucker and i thought burping him half way through a feed would stop him throwing up but it doesn't, just makes him upset and interferes with his feed. I like him relaxed when feeding.

oh nicole is the same. i thought it was her reflux but its just shes a hound and wants her bottle in full without breaks lol.

I too give Jake the whole bottle then wind him. He seems a lot happier doing this and tends to wind a lot better. x
