My lo was a hands & knees crawler at 6,5 months and would scream bcos his sleeping bag would annoy him so I stopped using it, now Winter is coming and there is no way i can reintroduce a bag now, I always give him a wee soft blanket or sheet tucked in at the end (done this since he stopped 'clocking' all over the bed and stays more or less in place!) but feel like this is bad, should I quite the blankets and just start adding more layers of pjs?

Riya moves around so much in the cot that a blanket does not stay on her long. I'm wondering what to do in the winter aswell, so will be following this thread.
She also had a sleeping bag in the first 6 months, but didn't really like it.

the blankets have never stayed on my 2 since they were a few months old lol.

i used to swaddle them but once they learned to wriggled and get the shawl up to get their hands free i had to stop coz they were able to get it up over their faces.

as long as the room is warm enough lo will be ok. in winter i just use a vest and a sleep suit then i just check on them before i go to bed and tuck them back in but normally he is asleep uspide down on top of the blanket lol.

Glad to know Im not alone, i thought id get alot of flack for that. yea blankets dont stay much on himeither, one friend said to me he will figure out eventually that the blanket will keep him warm lol.

Could you get him like a fleace body suit to sleep in.

I got one for Lo last winter as it was bitterly cold here for months last winter and we had her in vest pjs fleece body suit and a sleepin bag! lol

Our nursery always has a bit of a chill on it in the summer (freezing in winter), so I've been using the chance to introduce a fleece blanket so Daphne can learn how to cover herself with it to keep herself warm. She's had it in the cot for a couple of months now and altho she generally dislikes it on for the sake (or cold prevention), she does pull it over herself if cold. She is quite particular on how she likes it over herself tho, so can get frustrated by it!

Do you mean "walk-in sleepers"?

If so, they are great. My son would wear a vest & babygrow underneath & if it was really cold, I would put a blanket over the top, if it came off during the night, then I wouldnt worry too much as the "walk-in sleeper" kept him warm enough.

I've been wondering the same too

I think we'll probably get Sebastian a down/feather toddler sized duvet so his bed is similar to ours. He see's us in our bed, so I'm sure he will pick up the idea sooner rather than later.

ooh those sleepsuits look rather good!

thanks. They do look good. Going to order a couple for Riya as it gets quite chilly here in winter.

Ohh i'm loving those sleepsuits in mothercare, think I might pop in and get my little man one :)

I know he's 4 but it will keep him nice and toasty warm lol xx

Im in Holland :( we dont have mothercare but I see next have them and will deliver here tx for all the great advice all x

There are similar things all over the place at the mo, i love them Jaden wont have a blanket on as he moves so much. He is currently in sleepsuits to keep his feet warm mostly but i have been looking into fleece ones for him for winter.
