I am soon to start my first cycle using clomid.:happydance: I was wondering if there was anything you wish someone would have told you about when using clomid???

Yes, take it at night. I had hot flashes and would feel icky for the first 4 hours after taking it. So, taking it at night allowed me to sleep through the side effects. And wear layers so you can put them on and strip them off. Best of luck!

I always take clomid at night, before I go to bed. It makes me drowsy, and I cannot imagine having to go to work and be productive after taking it in the morning. Other than the drowsiness, I didn't notice any other side effects.
Everyone's different though. I guess I'm lucky that's the only thing I notice when taking it.

I get major headaches so live on Paracetomol for the 5 days I take it. I heard Ibuprofen can affect Ovuation so sticking with the Paracetomol x Not sure of thats true tho! lol
Good luck! x

good post - im starting it soon too and would like to know as much as possible.

bump!!!

Be prepared for the side effects!!! I had hot flushes at night, my ovaries felt as though they were having a party, my CM completely dried up (We used Preseed to counteract this), and i was a moody mad woman one minute and fine the next!! :muaha:
But it got me my BFP!!!! So good luck xx

First off, congrats!!! That is awesome you got your BFP! :thumbup:I love stories like yours. They give me hope. I am really considering getting some Preseed, just in case (couldn't hurt)! I am usually sensitive to my body so I think I will be feeling some effects, just don't know which yet. I have two more days of Provera left!

i am on clomid cycle two and have learned some things i wish i knew right away including the following:

expect cramps. lots of them.
only side effect i had from clomid was hot flashes. buy a fan. lol.
i take robitussin 2 tbsp 3xday and grapefruit juice 1 large glass daily from cd10 until ovulation and it totally cured my lack of cm!! i was happy to be able to use my own:)
DO NOT symptom spot or you will make yourself miserable!! clomid causes you to have all the same symptoms of pregnancy. i even through up during my tww. be patient and relax!
use sperm meets egg plan. it works!
do not start pregnancy testing until at least 12-13 dpo. save yourself the heartache!!

Thanks for the awesome advice! I am really going to try hard not to symptom spot! I might buy myself a really good book to take my mind off things! Best of luck with this cycle. :flower:
