Working Part Time or not at all?

Hi

As childcare costs are high, Im trying to work out benefit wise if we would be better off me working 16 hours min or not working at all.
Im happy to return to work, its not that, i just wonder financially what works out better?
Suppose it depends on what help is available and what our total household income is?!

Anyone in the same boat?

We are waying up the pros and cons too.

I certainly can't go back to working full time (40 hrs a week) as we just cant afford the childcare. I am hoping to go back 2 days a week (16 hrs) and leave LO with a childminder. Just hope my work let me!

i;m in the same boat.
After having my 3rd baby we found we were financially better me not working. If I went back to the job I have I would be £25 a week worse off - and that didn't inlude childcare as my mum was going to look after them.
It doesn't see right but hey ho I don't make the rules!!
