Few people probably seen it in the news but thought I'd share anyway..
I love stories like this
Melinda Star Guido weighed just 9.5oz and was the size of a coke can when she was born at a hospital in America five months ago. Doctors feared she would not survive any longer than a few days and she spent weeks in intensive care. But now Melinda - weighing 4lb 11oz ounces - has been allowed to go home and was greeted by dozens of photographers outside Los Angeles County Hospital.
She was wheeled out in her pram by proud mother Haydee Ibarra.
Ms Ibarra said: "I'm just happy that she's doing well and that she's doing better than she was before. "I'm happy that I'm finally going to take her home."
County health officials said that according to Global Birth Registry figures, Melinda was the third smallest baby ever born. She was 16 weeks premature and weighed about the same as two iPhones. Dr Rangasamy Ramanathan said medics will continue to monitor Melinda for the next six years. It is still too early to tell how she will develop mentally and physically, he said.
