Worried - HCG level remained at low 60-70 after miscarriage

I am a bit worried, well, a lot.

I miscarried last month, not sure when.
At the ER (after a week of spotting and sudden abdominal cramp), they saw my 'lil bean and a week (16/8) later at the EPAU, nothing.

It was considered as a 'complete miscarriage'.
I followed up on 23/8 and it was then confirmed no medical intervention required as per scan. Time to move on.

I remember taking a UPT test on the 23/8, it was stark white.

Then on 31/8, faint lines started appearing and it got a bit more visible until a certain stage and it remained until today (maybe slighter lighter now). I went for a beta HCG test (private) and it was 70 on 15/9.

My last beta HCG test at the hospital on 16/8 was 60.
And on 15/9 (a month later) 70?

Anyone with similar experience?

I did alot of googling and now very afraid of the 'C' word.

Plus, I went for a private scan today and there's this little mass the doctor found.
Probably 'leftovers' from previous mc.

I've been given this pill to encourage menstruation (hopefully flushes it out) and I am waiting ...

Plus antibiotic too...

So sorry for your loss. Hoping the pill does its job! I am still experiencing my miscarriage. My levels are down to 40 something. Each week I go to the doc and they draw blood. Hoping mine is 0 by next week. Really want to move past this and get ready to TTC again. Best of luck!

I had a MC on Sept 8th with a D and C on the Sept 9th The last reading I had before the MC was 1660 on August 31 My levels on Sunday was 62 Was in the Er for 4 reptured cysts I am hoping they retest me on Wed when I go to the Doctors

CP38, so sorry to hear about your loss. Hope your HCG will get down to zero soon, smoothly with no worries.
I am still waiting for pills to work. I've been bleeding (light, unlike a period) before the pill and I hope it will get heavier soon.

ttcbab2, so sorry to hear of your MC and ruptured cysts??? Oh dear, such a difficult time! Heal and rest well! Good that your HCG is going downwards quickly. Do insist on a test when you see the doctor.

I tested this morning, the line is still there on the UPT. Faint but there.
What irony, now that I am testing NOT to see a line.

I know that feeling, it's awful to want a neg hpt when you've wanted a bfp so much. Your levels are very low hun, hopefully there's just a little tissue left over. My levels have fluctuated this time, I was 1020, then 620 and then 1500. The registrar started talking about cysts and tumours as they also radiate hcg - but I ruled this out myself (lol!) by the fact I was ttc and had plenty of bfns before a bfp when af was due, it would be a mssive coincidence for the cyst or tumour to start releasing hcg at the time I was due my period - I have also mentioned this on the ectopic trust website who advised that for cysts and tmours the levels are usually far higher - though everyone is different.

No chance you could have concieved again?

Well I went thur for more bloodwork and my level is down to 40 something and all has been quiet on the bleeding front. But today the weirdest thing is going on. I am so nauesous, sick feeling is aweful, like it was the first few days I found out I was prego, my bb's are sore and I have been an emotional basketcase, even my teenage girls think i have lost my mind or something. It has been 11 days since I had what I thought was my period. I did an opk and it was + so no idea what is going on, maybe just left over hormones. I go again on Thur for more bloodwork. Hoping my numbers are down. I did do an HPT and it was + . Not sure what to think or feel at the moment..... I completely understand about not wanting to see a line!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Loo2belle, although there's a little possibility of conceiving ... (I thought so too at first) but I realised that the lines stopped getting darker ... sigh ....

Talk about conceiving, CP38, any possibility over there? Your level is already down to 40 on Thurs .. should be '0' by now? ..... The line that you see, is it faint or weak positive?

As for me, so-called 'period' seems to have gotten lighter, about to stop. Didn't notice the pills working ...... And yes, I still see a faint, faint line ... aaaaarghhh....

Slurpie my line was a weak positive.... The nausea passed but I keep having really bad headaches.... Dh wants to Bd almost everyday and I am pretty much up for it too. I haven't had any pain or cramps since the orginial m/c days which was 12 days ago now. I have had some cm which is starting to look fertile and my temp dipped this am. So I am praying this is truly "O" coming on so I try again to catch the eggie this month. I am going to take another test today OPK was positive, so will post the other test info when I get it later on in the day.....
