we have just moved house and i noticed that the double glazed windows are quite old and are not fitted with air vents. there are brick holes in two of the three bedrooms which I actually want to cover as i am worried spiders will get through but that's a different issue haha! but in our room (were LO will sleep) and living room it gets very hot and stuffy. I can obviously have the windows open sometimes but its not really practical and it still gets stuffy because of no ventilation for the rest of the time.

I am pretty pee'd off about it tbh because the house is quite old but has been renovated, minus the windows! which i didnt notice when I viewed it. And I cant see the owners agreeing to fit vents or new windows as this is there only property and they are only renting it out as it wouldn't sell.

Does anyone have any advice?

I've been worried about the same issue, I was wondering about fans but I will be stalking this thread to see what ideas everyone else has!

Here in the US we use window air conditioners. Do they not have those in the UK?

I don't know anyone here with air con, because our weather is generally rubbish we dont really need it haha. There is always little air vents in the windows to circulate air though, I am really noticing the lack of them :(

Window fans? Getting screens yourself for the windows? Floor ran to circulate air? I'm sure if you ate ok there lo will be too!

I am finding it very uncomfortable living here, I'd be really worried baby would be too :nope: when we lock up and go out when we get home there is no air its quite ridiculous haha!

I've been worrying the same thing"/ we did put an air conditioner in our bedroom, but it does nothing for the rest of the house. This heat does make it unbearable, and if I'm this miserable, I'm worried about little one.
